The Party Suu Kyi Was Allowed To Vote

YANGON Myanmar democracy leaders Aung San Suu Kyi said, the Government of Myanmar has agreed to his party to run in upcoming elections. With this Party National League for democracy (NLD) will return to Myanmar's political scene.

According to Suu Kyi, the Government's acceptance of this before it gets on Wednesday 4 January yesterday. NLD spokesman Nyan Win said, his party will soon ask for new members on Monday 9 January release.

As reported by the Associated Press, Thursday (5/1/2012), although his party has been officially accepted by the Government, Suu Kyi has not been able to confirm whether he will run for President the next.

Myanmar will hold a general election (election) on April 1, 2012. The NLD had previously refused to participate in the 2010 elections.  They do not approve of the election process at the time still governed by the military junta.

But now the country formerly known as Burma, to show drastic change in the rule of democracy. Myanmar currently even more open to change than it used to be.

Support for this change has continued to trickle in, including from Western countries often criticize the Government, which was previously the military junta.

Today the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary William Hague arrives in Myanmar to push for reforms that are underway. Hague was reported to have arrived in the capital of Myanmar, Naypyitaw, for talks with President of Thein Sein as well as with Suu Kyi.

Previously on 1 December, Foreign Minister of the United States (U.S.) Hillary Clinton also make a visit to Myanmar. In his visit Clinton showed that myanmar's continued reform.
