Putin, Dozens Of Demonstrators Protest Arrested

-MOSCOWPolice detained dozens of protesters Russia in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. They were arrested for defying a 12-year Government of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, right at the turn of the year.

In the action, the protesters shouting the slogan ' Russia without Putin "and" we need a new ' Russia.

In addition to the two aforementioned cities, 200 people were also rumored to roll out a similar action in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. No protesters were detained in the city.

The police reportedly also hold Russia 60 other protesters after they tried to occupy the area in downtown Moscow's Triumfalnaya.

"This is a stupid and shameful act," said an activist Lyudmila Alexeyeva was quoted as saying Times of Malta, Monday (2/1/2012).

The arrests happened on Saturday night, is the first time since big demonstrations held on the 24th December.

Anti-Putin protests continued following the parliamentary elections which accused Russia is rife with fraud committed by PRIME MINISTER Putin.

Putin has presided over Russia during the 12-year-old intends to run for Office again in elections next March.(rhs)
