BANGKOK -Amnesty International report as many as 15 political prisoners (political) that performs the action of a hunger strike in Insein Prison Myanmar refused to drink within a few weeks.

"If the political prisoners who perform strikers drink it died due to dehydration, jailers would be the responsible party," said human rights activist in Bangkok, Thailand, was quoted as saying Deutsche Presse, Friday (4/11/2011).

On 26 October, 15 political prisoners defied a hunger strike to protest the lack of clemency to punishment. However, more often given Clemency towards the perpetrators of the crime.

The handling of prisoners in Myanmar watched closely by the West. The West has urged the release of approximately 2,000 prisoners in Myanmar. On October 12, Myanmar had freed 7,500 prisoners and 200 of them were political prisoners.

The release of prisoners is also the insistence of the Myanmar pro-democracy figure Aung San Suu Kyi of the National League for Democracy Party (NLD).

Although the current Myanmar seeks to prove himself is running the process of transition to democracy, the United States (u.s.) assume is still not running democratic principles as well as the personal religious beliefs in the countries of Southeast Asia.(rhs)
