BEIJING -Rescue Squad China still trying hard to rescue the trapped mine workers 23 in a mine which was suffering from gas leaks yesterday.
Previously, 20 of the mine workers were trapped was reportedly were killed by explosions that occurred after the leaking of gas in the mine Of Sizhuang.
Hundreds of rescue teams and medical teams rushed to the mine then. But their efforts were hindered by reports of a leaked toxic gas in the mine.
Currently the engine vacuum still pumping the gas methane coming out of the mines, while rescue teams trying to find a mine worker who survived.
"The process is very hard to do the rescue due to the presence of high levels of gas still. At any time, the gas could have triggered the explosion, "said firefighter Tan Xiaopeng who were at the scene, such as the Xinhua, was quoted Friday (11/11/2011).
Mine accidents in China does often happen. Last week, the mine workers successfully rescued 52 after being stuck in a mine similar in Henan province.
