DILI -East Timor Presidential Intentions Jose Ramos-Horta to run again for President, getting the decisive blow. This caused the loss of the support of the major parties to Horta.
CNRT party led by Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão, who had previously supported the Horta on Election 2007 turned in favor of other candidates. It supports former officials and OTHER military Taur Matan Ruak in the elections next March 17.
"From this moment, the official political support from the CNRT falls to Taur Matan Ruak. This is our final decision, "said Secretary General of the CNRT Dionisio Gutiérrez Babo Soares was quoted as saying the AFP, Thursday (1/3/2012).
March 17 elections would be perlehatan's upcoming presidential election, the second time since Timor-Leste's independence 10 years ago. But there are concerns whether the election this time will be filled with violence as much as before.
