JAKARTA -Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) have developed a new way of socializing. Asean held a Cultural Show and Exhibition 2012 official on ASEAN which open in the Mall Gandaria City, Jakarta today.
The event was opened by the Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Surin Pitsuwan. Politicians who formerly served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, showed his ability to play the guitar.
Surin also made guitar Performances mark the opening of the ASEAN cultural and Exhibition 2012. Some representatives of foreign embassies are also seen in the opening event were present.
"This is the introduction of the culture for a fellow ASEAN Member States. ASEAN secretariat invites the public to better recognise ASEAN, "said Surin in the opening reception and the ASEAN Cultural Show Exhibition in Jakarta, 2012 (20/1/2012).
In addition to presenting some of the singers, the opening event was also called by saman dance performances representing the cultures of Indonesia. Besides Muay Thai Wai Kru dances also presented represent the culture of Thailand.
In the spirit of "one vision, one identity, one community" events that showcase the culture of all Member States of ASEAN, aiming for more closely in order to realize the ASEAN community, the ASEAN community 2015.
