TRIPOLI -The Loyalist forces Partially Khadafi and mercenaries hired by Khadafi, was arrested by the National Transition Council (NTC). They were reported to have suffered torture while being interrogated.
HUMAN RIGHTS watchdog says, they collect a lot of evidence that says, the loyalist troops detained in a Khadafi central prisons emergency, they were tortured and beaten.
In addition to the loyalist forces, hundreds of troops from Khadafi Charter areas of sub-Saharan Africa was also arrested. So as reported the Guardian, Saturday (22/10/2011).
According to a delegation of the United Nations (UN) who visited Libya, NTC trying to protect the rights of prisoners. The delegation of the UNITED NATIONS also said, is not justified for the NTC to conduct torture against detainees.
Amnesty International also reported, approximately 7,000 troops captured were loyalist Khadafi tortured to admit his mistake.
Aside from the Sub-saharan region of Africa, Khadafi also hired the mercenaries from Russia and Serbia. The troops were used in war at Sirte and Bani Walid.(rhs)
