The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt Again Winning the second round of Elections

CAIRO- The Muslim Brotherhood won two-thirds of the votes in the vote in the second round. This vote will help draft a new Constitution after several decades of Egypt under the reign of autocracy.

"Justice and Freedom Party received 36.3 percent of the vote, the party Al Nour won 28.8 per cent and the third is occupied by the liberal Wafd Party an 9.6 percent of the votes with a margin of" Implementation Committee said the election was quoted as saying Sunday, Reuters (25/12/2011).

The main job of Parliament elected later is drafted a new Constitution that would define the powers of the President and parliamentary influence in Egypt.

Analysts say the bad coordination among non-Islamists groups has led to the outbreak of the liberal vote.

The first democratic elections in Egypt after the collapse of the regime of Mubarak have been tinged with bloody clashes between Government forces and protesters who are demanding an end to military rule soon.

After the fall of the regime of Mubarak, the military took over while Egypt up to the presidential leadership will be held in mid-2012. (kha)(ahm)
