OSLO- Eight minutes is certainly a very short time to do many things at once.
Yet that is exactly what must be received by the employee in a call centre in Norway. Employees at the call centre in Norway was only given eight minutes per day to take a break, go to the toilet, smoking, received a phone call and personal doing other things.
Not long ago the employees call centre that expresses their anger. It happened after the company installed a special device is used to supervise their activities while in the toilet.
A special system that will provide reports to a Manager if the employees spend their time too long ditoilet. The Alarm will sound and the lamp flashes if employees spent more than eight minutes.
Employee unions and labor watchdogs condemn it and call it a policy violation of the rights of the workers.
"Eight hours is a very limited time and it makes no sense to do all activities like going to the toilet, smoking or receive personal calls. That policy must be stopped, "said spokeswoman bicata Union of financial sector of Norway as quoted Emirates247, Thursday (2/2/2012).
But the company argued the policy enforced by that company. They said just wanted to make sure that all incoming calls can be answered immediately.
