Abbas Met Hamas Leaders Next Week

The WEST BANK -A Hamas fighter group officials said the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will conduct meetings with the leaders of the Hamas Politburo Khaled Mashal next week.

According to the description of the Hamas officials, contacts between Hamas and Fatah factions headed by Abbas would determine when the meeting was taking place. But this meeting is expected to be made next week. So reported IMEMC, Friday (2/10/2011).

Some of the things that will be discussed in this meeting, is estimated to be not much of a reconciliation agreement was disepekati last May. In addition, the plan of a prisoner exchange with Hamas Israel soldier Gilad Schalit is expected to meet the meeting.

Previously rumored, after pernjanjian in a prisoner exchange was agreed between Israel and Hamas, Mashal directly call Abbas to tell details about Exchange it.

The plan of the Palestinian political prisoners will be 1027 freed by Israel soldier Gilad Schalit as part of a prisoner exchange. The release of Palestinian political prisoners is 1027 itself will be done in two stages.

Schalit was reported arrested by three Palestinian forces in June 2006. Since the arrest of Schalit, Israel further increased the volume of his attack to the Palestinian territories.

Schalit was the only prisoner of Israel who are in the hands of the Palestinians. Currently there are around 5.554 Palestinians detained by Israel.
