The Chairman of the Asean Set 4 Priority

SIEM REAP -Cambodia as Chairman of the Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) hosted the Asean Foreign Minister's Retreat (AMM) at 10 to 11 January. In this meeting, Cambodia mentions four priorities for Asean they became Chairman.

With the theme "One Community, One Destiny", as the Chairman of Asean, Cambodia will push the four priorities. Four priorities it will be a concern over Asean for Asean of leadership.

Four priorities that include advancing the integration of Asean and its three pillars of the Asean Community, namely the political-security, economic, and socio-cultural. This will be realized through the implementation of the Roadmap for an Asean Community 2009-2015. The second priority was to improve integration efforts in the region through the implementation of the Initiative for Asean Integration (IAI) Work Plan II effectively is very important for the establishment of the Asean Community by 2015.

The third priority that is nothing short of pentingya is to ensure the acceleration of the implementation of the Master Plan on the Asean Connectivity with a focus on infrastructure, institutions, and communities.

The fourth priority concern is increasing more and strengthening cooperation with Asean and Partner Organization the Talk more with maintaining the centrality of Asean in the development of the architecture of the area.

AMM Retreat Agenda address issues of global and area of concern with Asean, especially political and security issues.

In General, the Asean Foreign Minister have agreed on cooperation and follow-up on some of the boost initiative that has been rolling along, especially initiated by Indonesia as Chairman of Asean in 2011.

The Asean Foreign Minister also discussed various issues and anticipate that continues to evolve, such as problems of security in Korea Peninsula, the South China Sea, democratization and the process of transformation of Burma, the Treaty of nuclear-free zones in East Asia as well as functional cooperation such as disaster management, as well as to encourage integration in the region.
