NUSA DUA – As Chairman and co-Chairman, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) along with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina issued a joint statement on the Bali Democracy Forum IV, today.
In his statement, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is not in a position to judge the BDF to judge other countries on democracy.
"We build is not one model democracy, but that we are headed is to inspire each other, our mutual motivating and stimulating each other how to build a good democracy for the people," said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in a joint statement the PRIME MINISTER of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, in Nusa Dua, Bali, Thursday (8/12/2011).
Indeed, there is concern that there was a previous countries claiming to be a democracy but in fact still curb freedom of the press the President take an example yet such as Myanmar, are currently showing their progress in democracy.
"Can we progress like to see Myanmar. But remember in 2005 then, I never talk to the Myanmar leader General Than Shwe at the time, with the encouragement of democracy as they have promised to Asean and the world to the process of transition to democracy menjalan, "imbuh SBY.

Hasina added, each country has different ways of practicing democracy. But the similarity is every citizen's right, be met by the Government of a country who practice democracy.
