Had Postponed A Trial Held, Mubarak

CAIRO- Egypt Court held the trial of former President again Egypt Hosni Mubarak. Mubarak returned earlier postponed trial after living for two months.

Government television broadcast the trial proceedings, showing the picture of Mubarak wearing white blanket covering his body as well. Mubarak came to trial with menumpangi ambulance car.

Mubarak was not alone, it appears his supporters filled the rooms of the trial. They carried banners that are decorated with pictures of former rulers of Egypt for 32 years.

Meanwhile families of the victims were killed in the rallies anti-Mubarak also seem attend the trial.

They took pictures of their family who were killed in the protests which began last January.

Mubarak threatened punishment if he proves to be involved in the killing of roughly 850 people during anti-Government protests held. In addition to face murder charges, former ruler of aged 83 years it also faces corruption charges along with his two sons, Alaa and Gamal.

Former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and six head of security who served in the Government of Mubarak has also been charged in a similar case. But the lawyer Mubarak assured that his client is innocent.

"We have found new evidence that shows that Mubarak is not guilty," said the Chairman of the Legal Adviser to Mubarak Team Abdel Razek Yussri Al Jazeera, was quoted as saying Wednesday, (28/12/2011).

Before the trial was delayed when the legal adviser to Mubarak Mubarak asked that the Chief Judge who handled the case of Mubarak, Ahmed Refaat replaced. But the request was rejected on 7 December.

Ditundanya proceedings against Mubarak led to the emergence of new turmoil in Egypt. The protesters are demanding immediate creation of a new Government, involved clashes with government troops in the bloody.

Mubarak stepped down from power on February 11, then after the people of Egypt did a rebellion against his rule which has been going on for more than three decades.(rhs)
