JAKARTA – Ambassador of the United States (U.S. Ambassador) for Indonesia Scot Marciel refused to comment on the controversial images that are loaded in the Benetton clothing company advertisement.
"I cannot comment on this, I also don't know about it. Maybe I'll try to review it beforehand, "said Ambassador Marciel in the Office of the US Embassy in Jakarta, Saturday (10/11/2011).
In the last week, Benetton released a picture of the kiss photos officials. In these ads, U.s. President Barack Obama seemed to be kissed by the President of the Republic of China and Venezuela. Benetton also makes photos Kiss Pope Benedict and the Imam of Al Azhar Mosque.
The Vatican was upset and accused the company of clothing from Italy. Pictures of the Pope is considered abuse and insult to Christians.
The White House has also had the kecamannya to Benetton. White House confirms, from the US refused to use the photo of the U.s. President for an advertisement.
