Damascus is bombed, 25 people were killed

DAMASCUS -a bomb exploded at a bustling intersection in Damascus, Syria. This incident led to a 25 people were killed and wounded dozens of others.

Syria's Government accused terrorist group was behind the bombing. They said the suicide bomber detonates himself at a Midan District area is known to many. But the opposition demanded an investigation into the bombing.

It is difficult to determine the target of the bomb blast, but a bus belonging to the police are known to be filled with the remains of the bomb and the blood on the seat passengers.

"Suicide bombers detonates himself by targeting a large number of citizens," says Interior Minister Mohammed Shaar was quoted as saying Associated Press, Saturday (7/1/2012).

Midan is a locality in Damascus are often filled with protest anti-Government of President Bashar Al-Assad, since last March. The latest outburst of violence in this signifies that Syria still continues despite the observer of the Arab League had a chance to make observations in the country.
