- -United States (u.s.) expressed concern regarding the clash that took place in the territory of Papua and killing some of the more heated up the victims.
"AS stated his concerns over the conflict in Papua. We are sure, these events should be investigated further. Government of Indonesia must also improve its care and concern to the community, "said Deputy US Secretary of State, Kurt m. "The US Government is also aware, this issue is a sensitive problem experienced by our partners, Indonesia, and we hope to have a dialogue for national reconciliation," he added.
Currently, eight people have been killed in the incident was reported violence in Papua in two weeks. The casualties came also from the police. Those killed were shot by someone who is not in the know.
Indonesia's Minister of the Interior has been rumored to even made contact with the local authorities in Papua to loosen tension increasing in Papua.
Campbell also added, the need for dialogue between the Government of Indonesia and Freeport, as well as the community of Papua.(rhs)
