TKI in Hong Kong is now really Could Have a home

HONG KONG -Labor Wants Indonesia (TKI) and helpers from the Philippines to have a home in Hong Kong now can be realized. This is evidenced from the refusal of the courts of Hong Kong over the objections of the citizens against the rules.

Earlier, the Hong Kong authorities issued a rule that says the foreign helpers including TKI, can have a personal home after living for seven years continuously in Hong Kong.

In addition to home ownership, they also have the right to vote. They would also be allowed to stay in Hong Kong without the use of a work visa. So reported AFP, Thursday (27/10/2011).

But the decision provoked appeals from the Governments that represent the wishes of the citizens of Hong Kong. The appeal was ultimately foiled by the High Court of Hong Kong.

The Court issued a decision that foreign helpers working in the city can have a home. By this rule, Indonesia Labor (TKI) can remain permanently.

Along with domestic workers of Filipino origin (PRT), TKI in Hong Kong is a contributor to the city's power PRT. This decision was issued after a Filipino maid filed lawsuits over the immigration rules Hong Kong prohibiting foreign helpers residing permanently.

The demands put forward by Evangeline Banao Vallejos who has lived in Hong Kong since 1986 ago, opened up opportunities for some foreign 292.000 PRT holds most of the Philippines and Indonesia.
