After being described as "a nazi" Pope Benedict XVI, the American actress Susan Sarandon has been severely criticized by various Catholic and Jewish groups.After the Declaration of the winner of the Oscar in the Hamptons Film Festival, the Catholic League described Sarandon comment is "obscene", while the Jewish organization Anti-Defamation League labeled it's "deeply offensive."
The actress said she gave him a copy of the book which was based the film Dead Man Walking the German Pope and referred to him as a nazi, according to the newspaper Newsday.
