TOKYO- A television report said Japan, the Emperor of Japan Akihito will undergo a heart bypass operation.
"The emperor will undergo heart surgery at the upcoming February 18," noted television station NHK as cited the Associated Press Sunday, (12/2/2012).
The imperial household agency said Emperor Akihito has returned from Tokyo University Hospital today after undergoing a series of medical tests. However the authorities refused to give further details.
Emperor Akihito has stepped on the age of 78 years during this time known to have some health disorders such as pneumonia and prostate cancer in recent years. For the reason that Emperor Akihito reduce some activities and appearances in public.
Akihito ascended to the Emperor of Japan singgahsana succeeded his father, Emperor Hirohito in 1989, earlier.
However, when Akihito down from the throne, Prince Naruhito who will replace him as emperor. However, when Naruhito, son of Prince Akishino, who would become emperor, because Prince does not have a son.(rhs)
