NEW DELHI -National Demonstration carried out by trade unions, including those affiliated with the Government of India. Hundreds of civilians also appear in an orderly March because their well-being starts threatened.
As many as 11 unions endorse action protest challenging the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and bearers.
"This is an historic event, for the first time a Trade Union unite to launch protests against the policies of the Government of India against the workers," said Trade Union Congress General Secretary Gurudas Dasgupta, India was quoted as saying Tuesday, AFP(28/2/2012).
Some of the unions are demanding a permanent employee status against the labour contract, 50 million protesting soaring living costs and the economic policy of the Government of India was conceived of in General.
"We will give time to the Government to discuss the issue. For the moment, the demonstration is the option that we can do. We fight for our rights, against the Government which is not in favour of the people, "he added.
