Since the Tim Cook took the reins of power within Apple, all eyes have focused on it, and even more so with the tragic death of Jobs. It must be acknowledged that Jobs was never someone very charitable, similar to Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, although once it was said that Steve made anonymous donations. In any case, seems that Cook is all the opposite Steve what charity related.
Recently, under the leadership of Tim, the Cupertino company donated $50 million to Stanford hospitals, $25 million more were intended for the construction of new buildings and additional $25 million to the construction of a children's hospital. In addition to this, $50 million have been donated to Product RED, an organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver, whose purpose is to raise money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
It seems that a new era is coming to Apple. Will this be the first of future donations?
