14 people executed in Iraq in one day

TEHRAN - The Group Human Rights Watch (HRW) said approximately 65 people subjected to capital punishment by Iraq in 40 days. One of the terrible punishment is digantungnya 14 residents within one day.

"Iraq authorities seemed to give the green light to conduct immediate execution," said HRW Middle East Region Director Joe Stork was quoted as saying the Daily Mail, Friday (10/2/2012).

The HRW mentions, the court committed against the suspects were sentenced to hanging, law is often in violation of international law.

"Often, this forced the suspects confessed to crimes that are not necessarily doing," explains HRW.

Institution of defenders is based in New York this claim gets recognition from a judge, that on Wednesday 8 February ago, 14 people were executed. Estimated execution this will often be more done.

"The Government of Iraq to implement a moratorium from the rest of the verdict of execution. They should also revisit the inadequate penalty system, "said Stork.

HRW report also mentions that the hanging was given by Iraq authorities, including to the roughly 50 crimes. Including terrorism, kidnapping and murder. Even such violations against the destruction of public property were also rewarded the death penalty.

Government of Iraq cannot provide confirmation of this report. In general the most common death penalty applied in Iraq was hanging.
