US Urges Turkey Drop Sanctions to Syria

ANKARA -Vice President of the United States (U.S. Vice President) Joe Biden urges Turkey to impose new sanctions to Iran. Through his visit to Ankara, Biden praised Turkey's stance in Syria.

In Ankara, Biden met with the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul. Biden can't meet Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan Erdogan because it is currently still undergoing post-operative recovery period.

"We have always supported a diplomatic solution to Iran. But we are confident, emphasis on Iran will assist the course of the negotiations and it's what makes us finally voted to urge our partners, including Turkey in order to impose sanctions to Iran, "said Biden, was quoted as saying Associated Press, Friday (2/12/2011).

It also invites US VP Turkey to mend his relationship with former partner, Israel.

Turkey and Israel diplomatic relations are worsening due to the existence of attacks against ships volunteers, Mrdiget Marmara Turkey on 2010 administrations. Turkey even had a chance to affirm, when they need to fight a war with Israel.
