ILIGAN -United Nations (UN) assessing disaster damage flooding that hit the Philippines, such as the tsunami damage. The UNITED NATIONS soon aid amounting to around USD28 million or Rp253,5 billion (USD 9.055 per USD), for the victims of the disaster.
The UN humanitarian coordinator Soe Nyunt-U also voiced a concern would be the possibility of widespread disease outbreaks, among thousands of residents who live in the shelter.
"The damage such as that city was attacked by the tsunami," said Nyunt-u was quoted as saying Associated Press, Thursday (10/12/2011).
"The whole area really flat to the ground. Only a few buildings that still survive, and you have suffered damage. The debris of houses, buildings, and other structures were destroyed by the storm carried away into the sea, "he added.
Nyunt-U adds, it expects many States are willing to provide donors and assistance, although currently going on the global economic crisis.

Around 45 thousand civilians who lost his home is currently living in the shelter. They are residents of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro on Mindanao Island.
