BANGKOK -Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping arrives in Bangkok today. He will begin a three-day official visit to the country's white elephants.

"China and Thailand are good neighbors, partners, friends and relatives who already enjoyed a long friendship," said in his written statement Xi that were presented at the airport, was quoted as saying Xinhua, Thursday (22/12/2011)
Further Xi said Thailand and China relations has undergone a make them since 36 years ago and continues to grow in a healthy and stable under the auspices of both the country's Supreme Leader.
The two sides have gradually stepped up the expansion of cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy and culture is also linked to various regional and international issues.
"My visit is aimed at consolidating bilateral relations are good neighborly mutual trust, promote strategically advance the pragmatic cooperation," he added.
In Thailand, Xi will meet with Thailand's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Yingluck Shinawatra, the Prime Minister and head of the Privy Council and the National Assembly of Thailand.
Xi said he hoped the current visit will contribute to further promote the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between China and Thailand.
The visit this time could be said to be the test for Xi. He almost certainly will replace Hu Jintao as leader of the Communist Party of China for the next President in the country's largest population in the world, that coming in 2013.
