PRIME MINISTER Of Thailand Would Like To Meet Aung San Suu Kyi

BANGKOK -Prime Minister (PM) Yingluck Shinawatra says Thailand will have a meeting with prominent Myanmar democracy, Aung San Suu Kyi. The Agenda will be held in his visit to Myanmar next week.

Yingluck will do to his visit to Myanmar on Monday (19/12/2011) in order to attend the meeting of the leaders of the countries of the Mekong.

"I will be attending the Conference energy cooperation among Mekong countries and would meet Aung San Suu Kyi to exchange views and ideas," said Yingluck in a siarang directly on local television.

"He is an amazing woman who fought for democracy," imbuh Yingluck was quoted as saying Saturday, AFP (17/12/2011).

Yingluck meeting and Aung San Suu Kyi was the first meeting between Aung San Suu Kyi with PM Thailand which is a partner essential to Myanmar, said a local official.

Earlier US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Ambassador of China also had a chance to have a meeting with Aung San Suu Kyi.(fmh)
