Shooting at the airport, 6 people were killed

TEGUCIGALPA -a group of armed men opened fire toward four luxury cars that would leave the parking lot of the airport of La Mesa, Honduras. The incident killed six people who were at the site of the shooting.

Police Chief Julian Hernandez said the perpetrators of the shooting intentionally waiting for them at the airport in the city of San Pedro Sula.

Police were still investigating the motive of this offensive action. Hernandez said the victims are known to be aged about 20 years and has not yet been identified. So reported Associated Press, Saturday (3/10/2011).

When attacked, the victim turns to carry the weapon. But when the police searched the car which diberondong these, there is no bullet weapons belonging to the victim was found. The possibility of these weapons have been taken by the perpetrators.

Police San Pedro Sula estimates the attacks linked to Mexican drug cartels that occurred in the region. Most likely this incident related to the capture of the power operations of the cartel.

Authorities said a group of Mexican drug cartel and Sinaloa Mexico rumored to operate in the area of the Zetas around North and East of Honduras.
