MOSCOW -Minister of Russia Rashid Gumarovich Nurgaliyev said Russia forces have been killed, around 300 militants in the North Caucasus region by 2011.
A report was read by military officials of General Nikolai Rogozhkin Russia. He mentions, as many as 300 militants was crushed in Russia, 366 militant hideout was also destroyed. Russia also seized firearms and their 1,400 bud 17 thousand rounds of ammunition and 500 kilograms of explosives. so as Xinhua, proclaimed Saturday (3/12/2011).
Russia is also often the militants launched an attack to the officials and law enforcement officers in Russia's North Caucasus regions such as Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia.
The North Caucasus is a region that lies between the Black Sea and Caspian Sea. The area was also hit by a separatist rebellion and frequent activities of militants.
According to the newspaper, the rebels in the Caucasus region is attempting to emancipation from the Federation of Russia. The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev calls this rebellion as the most serious threat in Russia.
The rebels in Dagestan was also responsible for the bombing incident at the Moscow Airport Domodedovo City that killed 37 people in January.(rhs)
