The US Support of the Asean Community 2015

- -United States (U.S.) States his support for the establishment of the Asean Community 2015. The US President is also rumored to be about to come to Indonesia to attend a high level of Konverensi (the SUMMIT) Asean held in Bali, coming November.

"The US supports the formation of the Asean community and the United States will not only improve relations with Asean member countries, but rather would make cooperation in various fields," said Deputy US Secretary of State, Kurt m. Campbell, on journalists in the U.S. Ambassador's residence in Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/10/2011).

"We want Asean to become a great institution and have a big role too. Currently, the role of Asean is already quite large, and will be even greater, "he added.

Since the band formed in 1967, Asean also continues to administrations continue to adapt in line with the development of the world. In 2003, Asean member countries will be aware of the need of a strong framework to establish cooperation between members.

On November 19, Asean will hold the East Asia Summit (EAS) which will be attended by the United States and also Russia. The presence of two large countries in the meetings of the Summit is also the first time.(rhs)
