The ferry Hit a pillar, 74 people were injured

HONG KONG -as many as 74 people currently injured when the ferry crashed into a pillar is blown in the city of Hong Kong, China, today.

As many as nine of the 74 passengers today are in a critical condition. They were immediately hospitalised. Total passengers off the ferry reached 140 people.

"Around at 05.00 pm local time, a ferry carrying 140 passengers crashed into a pillar made of concrete after the ferry departs from the island of Cheung Chau. The ship did not sink, however many people are injured, "said Marine spokesman Patrick Wong, Hong KOng was quoted as AFPlike, Tuesday (9/10/2011).

Wong said, the process of investigation in the incident an accident is conducted. The ferry was rumored drove at high speed before it finally crashed.

"We were all thrown from the Chair when the ship was undergoing a collision. The victim was wounded in the head, nose, and lips, "said a passenger.

In 2010, as many as eight people died in Hong Kong in a cargo ship crash. The accident is reported to have occurred in the territorial waters of the South China Sea.

"The conditions inside the ship is ricuh, not even a single child crewman who helps us. We must help ourselves, "said the other passengers.(rhs)
